Innocent, virgin Jamie is a badass, retro steam-punk teenager, who stands up for her friends and will do anything to make her loved ones happy. Her best friend is a guy named Daniel, a shy, caring person. Completly opposite of Jamie, other than the loving part. One day, Jamie comes home to her parents being robbed, and she tries to defend them, being rewarded with a shattered foot, later to be removed, and being raped. Jamie is heartbroken. Daniel takes if upon himself to comfort her and get her out of this state of depression when he walks in on her trying to shoot herself in the head. He stops her, but it's then that he realizes that this is not a small snippet of sadness, but something much worse, and its trying to eat her alive, from the heart out.
