Nathan Prescott S Trash

Au's note: In which the main protagonist is Rachel Amber's cousin, which is an OC of mine. This happened after Max and Nathan had a heated conversation, then she ran into Chloe and they bailed from him.

---

I found him alone outside the campus, at the parking lot. There he was, orange jacket, baggy clothes and messy-once-perfect hair. He stood by his truck, covering his mouth and lighting a cigarette. He looked pissed and annoyed, with his eyebrows coming together. A spark lit up, and I could see scratches on his pale face with bruised knuckles. I sighed and walked up to him.

Leaning against his truck, I reached for the cigarette pack, which was on the hood, took one out for myself, "So, scratches are the new trend hah? Chicks dig it or what?"

"Shut it, Amber." He frowned but turned to light the cig for me. The sun was getting low, and it was a bit cold. Just when the warm, small flame flared up, I could see his face real close, and I knew he too could see mine. Strings of smoke were all over the place.

"Do you really wanna know?" He spoke in an undertone, then went silent, probably was just regretting saying it. So I hopped on the hood so that Nathan would be more relaxed now that I couldn't see his face. He wouldn't want me to analyze his expressions.

"Go on. I'm all ears."

Nathan took a big drag, then he went, "I lost my shit, that's all. I went to question that bitch Max Caulfield and I lost it. So she scratched me."

"So what was so serious that you confronted her and got angry like that?"

I heard a sighed from him. I knew he didn't want to talk about it. I sighed too, "Hey, man, it's ok if you don't wanna talk—"

"You... have homework or any project tonight?" Nathan turned back to face me. A cig really woke him up, now that his blue eyes were wide open, he looked right at me in the eyes, "Wanna go somewhere and just... chill out?"

I was a little bit surprised when he asked me to actually hang out with him. Sure we hooked up and got high together sometimes, but his eyes now told me more than that. He didn't want to do drugs. He just wanted to... chill out, as he said. I thought to myself for a bit, there was homework to be done, but why shouldn't I ditch homework once in a while? It'd be fun.

"Cool. I'm down for it. As long as you drive me back to the dorm before school." I grinned and held on to Nathan as he helped me down. His grip was a little too weak for someone his age. "Hey Nate, we should stop by Two Whales. I'm starving." I hopped into his truck while saying, hoped he didn't find out I was lying. I was not that hungry, but I was worried about his health.

"Look at you go, Grace Amber. What would your parents say if you spent the night outside with a boy?" He turned to fasten my seat belt.

"Fuck my parents. I'm old enough to do what I want. Besides, you're not just any boy. You're Nathan fucking Prescott." I smiled at him before turning on the radio.

"Yeah. That I am." He chuckled a bit, then started the engine and drove us out of Blackwell.

We had dinner at Two Whales. I knew it was not the best option for rich boy Nathan, but the diner obviously had the best foods, and that because I knew he wouldn't eat more than a cheeseburger. Sitting in a fancy restaurant, taking sips of wine and having small talks aren't our kind of thing. We liked to talk bullshit, prank on strangers and just have a quiet moment of our lives. He drove me to the beach, it was night time already and the sky was just magnificent. We sat underneath the stars and moon, just watched as the waves come and go.

"I've never thought being sober could be this fun." He lightly shook his head, a content smile drawn on his lively face, "I mean, without the damn drugs, who would have thought one could be this happy?"

I just looked at him while he looked at the stars. "Nathan, you do know that drugs aren't the only thing in the world."

"Yes. I know." he blinked, looking up and down "There's also you."

"You're right." I giggled in satisfaction, not noticing my cheeks were getting hotter.

If the calm, gentle, happy Nathan now was the true Nathan, then I'd die to make him stay like this. Everyone should get a chance to meet the real him, not the angry, twitchy kid whose father owned the fucking school.

Lost in thoughts, I suddenly shuddered as the cold winds blew into us. Nathan quickly took off his jacket and put it on me. A woodsy, musky scent surrounded. Oh shit, this smelled so good. HE... smelled so good, I thought to myself, but remained quiet.

"Nathan," I quietly spoke, "I like this... calm you."

Winds made Nathan's hair messy, but sexy. He then looked at me for a while, before slowly turned back to the waves and opened his mouth "Enjoy it while you still can, before the demons come back."
